Comparing Wipe-On Finishes

Nick compares the results from seven wipe-on finishes -- Hope's Pure Tung OIl, Tried and True Original Finish, Minwax Tung Oil Finish, General Finishes Bowl Finish, Min Wax Antique Oil, Minwax Wipe-On Poly, and General Finishes Arm-R-Seal. To do so, he creates test boards made up of six different wood species. These reveal how each finish performs on hardwoods and softwoods, woods with open grain and closed grain, and woods of different colors. He also applies each finish to clear acrylics sheets to be able to judges its composition, clarity, and tint. This is the companion publication to the video, "Finding the Perfect Finish for You."
